BORESHA HEALTH CLINIC

Quality child healthcare
treatment in Kenya

Over 7 million children under-5 years of age die each year mainly from preventable and treatable conditions. Pneumonia, diarrhoea and malaria remain the leading cause of child mortality, and under nutrition contributes to more than 1/3 of all deaths.

While infant and under-5 mortality rates have declined since 1990, mainly due to programs in childhood immunization and malaria prevention, Kenya is still ranked the 39th country with the highest deaths globally.

Boresha Health Clinic was established to fill this gap in the Kenyan medical space. Thanks to its convenient location in Makutano, Meru, the clinic will prevent unnecessary loss of time that parents have to undergo when their child falls sick. Depending on the severity of the illness, many parents are forced to seek medical counsel in Nairobi, a 5-hour drive away. With the opening of the Clinic, parents from Meru, Nanyuki, Embu, Nkubu and Chuka now have a professional facility within reach. The Clinic has moved quickly to sign up with the major insurance providers ensuring that anyone under any medical approved plan can access medical attention at the Clinic. The Clinic has been fitted with the latest medical machines, scanners and equipment to ensure that no one is left stranded. In fact, the promise of the institution is to “improve the health of the community by offering accessible, reliable and affordable quality Health care services guided by Christian and professional values as inspired by the healing Ministry of Jesus Christ.”

Boresha Health Clinic seeks to collaborate with and work with the Government Line Ministries, other health care providers, local and international bodies such as churches, non–government organizations, communities and individuals to facilitate promotion and access of healthcare services in the community.

  1. Preventive Services
  2. Psychological Counseling
  3. Curative Services

Preventive Services

Preventive care includes things such as regular check-ups, screenings and immunizations. It may be covered without cost-sharing when you visit a doctor that is in your health plan’s network. You may be eligible for free preventive screenings, like blood pressure and cholesterol tests, mammograms, colonoscopies, and more. Preventive care lets your doctor find potential health problems BEFORE you feel sick. Preventive care can include immunizations, lab tests, physical exams and prescriptions, where applicable. Diagnostic services help your doctor understand your symptoms or diagnose your illness.
