Ripples International Christian School Students

Welcome to Ripples International Christian Schools – Nahal Academy, a place where natural curiosity and imagination lead to exploration and discovery in children of all ages.

We help children enjoy a most exciting and rewarding learning experience.

The school is one of the main business arms for Ripples International, located at the Organization’s main office complex 9 km from Makutano along the Meru-Ruiri road.

The Christian school, also known as Nahal Academy, currently offers Kindergarten classes, Class 1 to 5.

Nahal is a Latin word meaning ‘leadership.’

And leadership is exactly what the school offers its bright young minds!

Under the guiding motto of the school’s motto, “learn, lead, transform” every lesson and focus is on equipping these precious young minds for a digital future where independence and creativity make the difference between success and failure.

A Christian Primary School For Potential Leaders

The school accepts children from all over Kenya, including non Christians. However, as a Christian institution, the school firmly follows Christian practices and regulations as taught in the Bible.

Students and parents are expected to be agreeable to the statement of values and aims in pursuit of their career goals while at Nahal Academy.

Over the last five years, the school has grown to become one of the most popular schools in Meru, with a rapidly growing waiting intake list every January.

This is in part thanks to a committed steady focus on controlled development and emphasis on getting the best teaching staff in the region.

Allow me to share with you a little of our school background.

Ripples International Christian schools started in the year 2011 as a kindergarten school.

We began our institution with only 7 children. Since then, our enrolment has risen steadily!

We now have over 200 children!

The School’s management is focused on offering quality education through individualized care to children in a serene environment.

As you entrust your children to us, know that we will take great care of them, love them, support them and mentor them to be all that God intend them to be.

Here at Ripples International Christian Schools, we are all about training the leader in you. May God bless you and let’s chat soon!

A Center Of Academic Excellence

Nahal Academy currently accepts children in Kindergarten (KG 1 – KG 3) and from Class 1 -5.

Ripples International Christian Schools, Nahal Academy is focused on nurturing the competences of each child to enable them apply the knowledge acquired to address real life situations.

The school aims to be the hub for the training of transformational leaders.

The school is dedicated to inspire and equip transformational leaders by providing excellent and holistic education that is grounded in Biblical perspective and global context.

Over the last 5 years, the school has recorded some tremendous accomplishments that include scooping a number of trophies at the Kenya Music Festival 2016.

The school boasts a very interactive and dynamic extra curricular programme with sports, athletics, music, poetry, and camping a regular part of school life.

The Curriculum

Nahal Academy follows the 8-4-4 System of Education which is vetted by the Ministry of Education.

There is intensive supplementary learning for pre-school classes which is intended to nurture thinking and perception abilities in children.

The Organization has invested in facilities and human resource for this approach and ensure that each child is well attended and supplied. This gives each child an advantage when they enter Class 1, and at the same time supplements learning in addition to the 8-4-4 curriculum.

Classes are designed to be small in number to ensure that every child receives adequate attention from the teachers.

Extra Curricular Activities

Extra curricular activities are very important at the Nahal Academy.

Fun Activities at Ripples International Christian School - Nahal Academy

Pupils are spoilt for choice with a wide range of fun activities including:

  • Music
  • Swimming
  • Girl Guides/Boy Scout Classes
  • Camping
  • Athletics
  • Sports
  • Bird watching
  • Poetry and Choral Verse
  • Field trips.

All the children had a chance to visit various sites including the Museum of Kenya, the Kenya Methodist University.

These are moments to advance what the children have learned in class in practical situations.

The exposure brings children into real life experience helping them to appreciate that learning is progressive and does not end in school.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, right?

Sports

And what child doesn’t like the great outdoors?

It’s a time to play, dance, run and challenge your best friend to a race!

That’s why Friday is specially set aside for sports events. Students play all range of games from football, races, netball, hide and seek and obstacle races. Even the teachers are tempted to join in!

What this does is deliberately allow the children to refresh their minds after a busy week of learning.

The annual sports event is held in June every year. This is one of the best times of the year!

Seeing the parents participate in the field events brings another level of excitement and pride to their children. You can see their eyes light up in excitement as they watch their parents dash in the 100 meter race.

We feature a number of races, like the obstacle race, 100 meter dash, 200 meter, 400 meter relay and the potato race.

It’s a very memorable time for parents, students and teachers.

It’s also a great way for the parents to bond and participate in the development of their children. Not only does it motivate them, but it also boosts the morale of both the children and the teachers.
